Seminar on “Branding of Hoa Binh native pig”
On the 16th of December, JICA SATREPS Project Management Unit toghether with a research group of the National Institute of Animal Science, has organized a seminar on “Branding of Hoa Binh native pig” to share the results of research on building the brand of agricultural products, methods of brand maintainance and development.
Participants in the workshop included members of the project management unit (PMU), representatives of the JICA office in Hanoi, the Department of Animal Health of Hoa Binh province as well as scientists and researchers participating in the project from both Vietnam and Japan sides. In particular, in this seminar, we have the attendance of the scientists who possess a wide range of experience in the field of branding from the Centre for Agriculture Systems Research and Development (CASRAD).
Participants of the workship were shared the experience in branding Cao Phong orange in Hoa Binh province and the H’mong beef in Cao Bang by experts from CASRAD, while the scientists from the Department of Economics & Farming System of NIAS presents the planned activities to build the Hoa Binh native pig brand with indications of the origin. Participants discussed openly the activities needed toghether. The workshop results are a prerequisite and an orientation for future activities in Hoa Binh of the project.
